Cheese Spaetzle: Heat the cooked and well-drained Spaetzle in a frying pan with butter or margarine. Stir in 4-5 tablespoons grated Swiss cheese. Place on a serving dish and top with sliced onions browned in butter.
Spaetzle & Eggs: Cook Spaetzle according to directions; drain well. Brown Spaetzle in butter. Beat two eggs, add chopped fresh herbs (i.e., chives or parsley), and pour over Spaetzle in frying pan. Stir and heat until eggs are set. Salt and pepper to taste. Serve with fresh green salad and Kuhne Saladfix.
Kraut Spaetzle: Drain 1 1/2 lbs. sauerkraut. Mix sauerkraut with one small, chopped onion and brown in a frying pan with butter. In a separate pan, fry 1 cup (8 ozs.) cooked and well-drained Spaetzle until golden brown. Just before serving, combine both items, place on serving dish and sprinkle top with bacon bits.
