Baking Instructions

How to make this bread:

Just add 1 1/2 cups of cold water into the bread mix and knead until the dough is smooth. Cover and let the dough rise for about 30 minutes. Punch down the dough and then knead the dough one more time.  Brush the dough with water and roll it in flour. Place the dough in a greased loaf-pan or on a greased baking sheet. Cover the dough with a clean kitchen cloth and allow it to rise again in a warm location for about 40 minutes. Bake it in a preheated oven (450ºF) for about 10 minutes and then reduce the heat to 400ºF.  Bake for approx. 40 minutes. Let the bread cool completely before slicing.  Enjoy.



For bread machines:

Simply add 1 1/2 cups of cold water to the mix and set your bread machine for normal or dark crust.

Great Bread

I used the dough hook on a kitchen-aid blender and followed the directions. Baked in a gas convection oven for 395 F for ten minutes and then 350 F for 40 min and it came out great. Hard to find bread like this locally so this is a great option. Hope they get more in stock soon.
