Original German Old-Fashioned "Black Forest Girl" Egg Noodles. Cook for 14-16 minutes in boiling salted water. Drain, rinse with hot water, then drain again. Serve with your favorite sauce, gravy or butter.

NOODLES BUT NOT SPAETZLE.

I am from Southern Germany and made and ate Spaetzle all the time. The best and real Spaetzle are made by hand. To me, everything else is a NOODLE. gh RESPONSE FROM GermanDeli: Home-made is always a great option, but for those with no time to make the dough from scratch, these are a great alternative.

Spaetzle

I have been looking for these for a long time. We used Gouda (old and new) and nettle cheese and carmelized onions to make a volcano looking tower, built in layers with the onions on top, then baked. So good. Learned from a German family while visiting years ago. Can't wait to get some more.

These are great with a little butter and some parsley added. We usually serve them with Hungarian Goulash.
