Please note: Despite all manners of shipping dry ice, cold packs, etc., we have found it almost impossible to keep baked items frozen when we ship. The USDA confirms that there is no safety risk to refreeze baked items that have been pre-baked. However, it is best if they are refrozen as soon as you receive the package.

Baking Instructions

English Instructions:

If frozen, defrost for 2.5 hours before baking in a 375° oven with steam. (For steam, place a cup of water into the bottom of your oven during the baking cycle.) Baking time is only 18 minutes. Allow to cool! (We know you won't, however, you'll be better able to slice your bread once it is cool.) If your bread arrives defrosted, simply keep in your refrigerator for a couple days at the most before baking using the same directions as above. Note: Baking times and temperatures may vary depending on individual ovens. Please watch your bread carefully to find the right times and temps to suit your own preference. The bread is par-baked so you need only finish the baking process.



Auf Deutsch Bitte!

Produkt aus der Verpackung nehmen und bei Raumtemperatur ca. 2,5 Stunden auftauen und dann im Backofen bei 180°C mit Wasserdampf für ca. 18 Min. backen und abkühlen lassen.

Feels like home!

OMG! This is so good. After 3 years in the US we haven't found any bread that comes even close to what I grew up with in Munich. But this is hitting the spot.
It came frozen and is so easy to prepare. Once cooled down it tastes like fresh baked bread with a tough and crispy crust and soft and moist inside.
Will definitely reorder as soon as possible!

In America habe ich nie ein Geschäft gefunden das dieses Brot backen tut. Seit ich in America lebe hatte ich unser Deutches Brot so sehr vermissed. Ich habe mich riesig gefreut das die GermanDeli das Brot uns erlaubt einzu kaufen. Und die Kalbsleber Wurst schmeckt wunderbar auf dem Brot. Herzlichen Dank GermanDeli.

Can't believe it

Followed the instructions then cooled for 2hrs. WOW I bake artesian breads at home and my whole family was blown away. my 10 yr. old daughter said we need to order this every week! Loved it...Better than the bread my uncle brings me from germany...at least as good but fresh. very impressed with the bakers preparation for reheat you would believe it was baked fresh if you didn't know better. Thanks !! Dr. Rick Same with the farmers bread!!!!
