Baking it for about 15 minutes at 350-degrees gave it a nice crust. I defrosted the bread before I baked it. Beyond the crust, the bread was soft and chewy and perfect with just butter or topped with cold-cuts. My American husband loved it. The flavor is more subtle that some of the other German breads I have tried.
It's a small, round loaf. Don't look for a large slice, but I had to control myself or I would have eaten the entire loaf aLL by MYSELF. lol.
Scooped out this bread would make a great "bowl" for soup or for salad.
