My wife is from Bremen, Germany and this was a favorite from her childhood that was served with kale and pork.
I have added my South Louisiana background to it and when I cook the pinkelwurst and kale I like to use a pork loin roast, a pound of Andouille sausage and Cajun spices.
It has become our family's holiday dinner and we are very thankful that the GermanDeli continues to make it available for us.

We have bought this Pinkel many times in the past and always enjoyed our Gruenkohl & Pinkel meals.
However, the last 6 Pinkel that we ordered were full of boney, hard-to-describe and hard-to-chew chunks. We just hope this was a bad batch of processing, and not something to expect in the future.

Much better then Schaller Weber pinkelwurst. Serve with smoked pork butt, kale and candied potatoes. Old time favorite from my Dad who was from LÃ¼beck. One of our very favorite meals.
