Abraham Black Forest Proscuitto, Smoked (American style). Quarter outside round of the hind leg of pork/ham, deboned and without the rind. Carefully preserved with a bit of salt and regional seasonings, then slowly cold smoked over pine chips and cured for up to 6 months to create a rich color and mild, smoky flavor. Ready to serve and unbelievably delicious; one of our hottest sellers. Vacuum packed, each ham ranges in weight from 3 pounds to 4 pounds and is unsliced. On a first come-first serve basis, we will select the largest sizes available at the time of your order. We recommend slicing paper thin (electric slicer works best) before serving. If possible, take to your local Butcher and ask if they will slice wafer thin on their professional slicer (bribe him/her with a little taste of this ham, if necessary.
If you are purchasing this product as a gift for someone, please be certain they understand it is not to be cooked and it should be sliced paper thin before serving. Die Herstellung dieses Traditionsschinkens erfolgt ausschließlich im Schwarzwald und unterliegt strengen regionalen Bestimmungen. Er wird nach überlieferten Rezepturen mit Gewürzen verfeinert und nach der Art alter Schinkenmeister über Tannenholz geräuchert. Dies verleiht ihm sein unvergleichliches Raucharoma, den herzhaften Geschmack und die typisch dunkle Farbe.
Wir empfehlen diesen köstlichen Schinken in hauchdünne Scheiben zu schneiden (am besten mit einer eletrischen Schneidemaschine)und dann nach Belieben mit Melonen, oder auch Spargel geniessen. Guten Appetit!
