Recipe for Bratkartoffeln mit Fleischkäse

Bratkartoffeln mit Fleischkäse
(German Fried Potatoes with Fleischkäse and Mushrooms)
This easy meal is prepared in a single skillet!

Ingredients:
2 red or yellow bell peppers, sliced into strips
1 cup mushrooms, sliced
2 onions, sliced
2 or 3 tablespoons of ARO Sonnenblumenöl (Sunflower oil)
1 slice of Siegi's Fleischkäse, cut into cubes
2 packages Dr. Knoll Bratkartoffeln
Salt and pepper to taste
1 TBLS dried rosemary (optional)
1 TBLS fresh chopped parsley (optional)

Preparation:
In a large skillet sauté bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms in 2 tablespoons of heated oil until the vegetables are tender. Remove from the skillet and set aside in a serving bowl.

Using the same skillet, brown the Fleischkäse cubes (add a bit more oil if needed). Once slightly browned transfer the cubes to the bowl with the vegetables.

Place the potatoes into the skillet and sauté until the potatoes are browned. You may need to add a little more oil to the pan.

Once the potatoes are browned, add the already sautéed meat cubes and vegetables back into the skillet and sauté an additional 5 minutes, tossing the ingredients. Season with salt and pepper to taste. If you wish, add parsley and/or rosemary.

Serve with Ur-Roggenbrot (Rye Bread) or Kürbiskerne Brot (Pumpkin Seed Bread) spread with German Butter and maybe even a dish of German pickles.
