Großmutter und ihr Bratapfelkuchen: Mythen ranken sich um die Entstehung dieses Kunstwerks aus Bratäpfeln und Calvados-rosinen, gebettet in eine Creme. Jenseits aller Phantasie steht aber eines fest: Der Bratapfelkuchen von Dr. Oetker ist der Held auf jeder Kaffeetafel, so lecker wie damals, soviel Freude am Backen wie heute, soviel Gelingsicherheit wie nur von Dr.Oetker.
Wheat flour, sugar, raisins with calvados (12%) [raisins, water, calvados (french apple wine)], wheat starch, baking powder (dinatrium diphosphat and natriumdrogen carbonat) salt, aroma, color: chinolin yellow (E104), yellow orange S.
Weizenmehl, Zucker, Rosinen mit Calvados (12%) [Rosinen, Wasser, Calvados (französisch Apfelwein)], Weizenstärke, Backpulver (dinatrium diphosphat und natriumdrogen carbonat) Salz, Aroma, Farbe: chinolin gelb (E104), gelb orange S.
Preheat oven approx. 350F, grease the springform pan (approx. 10” diameter) and peel 6 large apples(Remove the core). Mix baking mixture with 1.78oz butter and 1 egg until you have a ball of dough. Spread 2/3 of the dough even on the bottom of the springform pan. Form the remainder of the dough into a long coil. This will form the sides of the crust, once pressed into the pan and it should be at least 1 inch high. Cut apples in half and place, with cutting side down, into springform pan. Fill the apples with calvados raisons. Mix filling mixture with 3.5oz whipping cream. Bring 17.8oz whipping cream to a boil and remove from heat. Stir in the mixture with a whisk and bring to a boil for another 30 seconds. Fill instantly into the springform pan and bake for 60 minutes in the lower part of you oven. Let cake cool down for at least 1 hour before removing springform pan. Enjoy!
