Gouda Frikadellen mit Speck
(German-Style Hamburgers with Gouda & Bacon)

Ingredients:
1/4 cup finely diced Double-smoked Bacon (from Schaller & Weber)
1/2 cup water
1 package Maggi fix & frisch Hackbraten or Knorr Fix Hackbraten
1.5 pounds ground beef
3 1/2 oz Mibell Gouda Käsescheiben, cut into small pieces
2 tablespoons Rapso Rapsöl (Rapeseed oil)

(optional)
May be served with authentic German Brötchen, Bratkartoffeln (German fried potatoes), a salad made with your favorite flavor of Salat-Krönung, and a dish of German Pflaumen (German plums) for dessert.

Preparation:
In a pan, sauté the bacon until it is browned. In a separate bowl, mix 1 package of Hackbraten Fix in with ½ cup water. Add ground beef & browned diced bacon. Mix well. Form about 6 Frikadellen patties. Pan fry in the bacon drippings.
