Recipe for Kartoffelsalat
Kartoffelsalat mit Wieners
(German-Style Potato Salad)

Ingredients:
2 ½ lbs small golden potatoes (Butter Reds or Yukon Gold work best)
1 medium red or white onion, diced
3 German pickles, diced into small pieces
4 tablespoons pickle juice (from German pickle jar)
1/3 cup German mayonnaise
4 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
salt & pepper to taste
Siegi's Wieners or Kocher's Wieners

(optional)
1 teaspoon Löwensenf medium mustard or hot mustard
Sautéed and diced double-smoked bacon

Preparation:
Wash potatoes & boil. Remove from water & let potatoes cool slightly. While potatoes are still warm, peel and slice. Mix onions, pickles, pickle juice, mayo, whipping cream and salt and pepper. If desired, add 1 teaspoon German mustard. Mix into potatoes.

Serve with Siegi's Wieners or Kocher's Wieners for a hearty meal.
