Baking Instructions

Preheat you oven on 350F. Grease the spring form (approx. 10" diameter). Place the baking mixture into a bowl; add 3.5oz butter and 1 egg. Mix everything until you have streusel. Press 2/3 of the streusel on the bottom of the spring form until you created a smooth layer. Knead the remaining dough into a roll and lay into spring form. Press the roll evenly against the side of the spring form (approx. 2cm high). See picture. Melt 5.3oz (150g) butter. Place mixture for cake filling into a bowl. Add 3 eggs, 17oz (500g) quark and 10.7oz (300g) yoghurt. Mix everything with mixer until smooth. Fill the spring form and bake on bottom rack of your oven for approx. 55 minutes. Let cool of completely and serve. Enjoy!

This mix is excellent and is about as authentic as it gets. The "english" instruction sticker on the box is completely wrong, however. Use the instructions on this page or translate.

WOnderful Cheesecake

My cousin in Germany made this cheesecake when we were there and it is fabulous. Light and delicate, and made with low- or non-fat quark and yogurt, it's a perfect dessert (or BREAKFAST!<smile>.) She sent us home with a box of it, and I see it can be ordered online. Not cheap to do so but we likely will get a couple to have for special occasions. Excellent product.
