Reading all the reviews I am convinced that these Mohrenkoepfe must be delicious - except I bought them and was soooooo dissapointed..................They tasted old - they smelled old. That they were a little 'zerrupft' didn't bother me at all - but the ,the Schaum, was so tough and stringy, like cheese on the lasagna. Perhaps I just got a bad one. Did anyone else have a bad experience?

we just devoured two boxes in two days. Usually several are cracked or squished but, hey, they're very fragile and they've traveled halfway around the world. They taste just like what I grew up with. I don't care if they are cracked or even squished, they taste the same. As kids we would frequently eat them squished on a broetchen, anyway.
I love them, they take me back to the time I grew up in Germany, I had them shipped before, and I must say they arrived intact. Keep them available, it is not the look it is the taste, so even if they get damaged, no big deal they will still taste good.
Please keep them stocked, even the shells are broken they still taste wonderful lol
I ordered the Mohrenköpfe exactly because of the memories I knew they would invoke. However the warning is correct. They do not ship well, and whil they tasted fabulous, they didn't look very nice. I think better packaging would help (not GermanDeli's, but the maker of the product. Oh, but they tasted good!
Takes me back home...even my nieces and nephews who know nothing of Germany love these!
Those are the best ,so soft and airy .We but them on a broetchen, oh that is so good.
