This is the BEST grobe Mettwurst I could find here in the States.
It comes really close to a real German one.
Worst part about this is: mostly out of stock. I couldn't order it this whole year. Waiting again to get it back in stock.

In the USA, this is the closest I have come to mettwurst. I take it out of the package, add a little coarse sea salt, pepper and chopped onion. Mix it together, refrigerate and serve. Yum

wenn keine Kneipe mit frischen Mettbroetchen zur Hand; auch die Textur ist angenehm, anders als die generischen feinen Teewuerste, die hier oft eher nach gefaerbtem Nitrit-Schmalz anmuten

if you so far away from home, it will serve the purpose, in my opinon.i know when you GERMAN, you want the real thing, lol, but i put it on my bread with a little german mustard and voila, it will do. just MHO.
