This was the first and last time I'll purchase this brand. There was quarter inch stripe of marzipan in the very middle of the stollen, and the rest was very dry, crumbly and visibly burned on the bottom. Overcooked and under-flavored - sometimes it's best to go with the more expensive stuff.
Quickbury Marzipan Stollen 750g reviews
Read the fine print. The Quickbury Stollen is made in the Czech Republic. It even says so on the label that appears on this website. That's why this Stollen is roughly HALF the price of the German Stollen gram-for-gram. It's a very nice Stollen, and the price is very good.
This is a completely comparable stollen to those made in Germany, but the price is better because it is made across the border in the Czech Republic. The fruits are grown in the Czech lands, as well as in Slovakia and Poland. This is a very nice stollen for the price.
