Hello kind German Deli, is there any update on the shipment of the larger seramis. Thanks for at least trying.
ANSWER FROM GERMANDELI:
We really wish we had better news for you. We tried very hard to get this product, but ran up against a brick wall at every turn.
Seramis Clay Granules for Houseplants 7.5l reviews
I repotted 3 Phals with this granules only. They were too small and caused root rots. I then mixed with leca clay pebbles and this method seem to work better. German Deli, please import larger pebble sized seramis and make it available for us orchid lovers in the U.S.
I do NOT want to buy Seramis Orchid Mix you are selling because it contains bark which decomposes. The reason why we are interested in Seramis is because it does NOT decompose. So, mixing Seramis with organic medium does not make sense.
We need larger pebble sized Seramis which is widely available in Europe.
GermanDeli.com has contacted the producer of the larger clay granules and the company has agreed to allow us to import them to the USA. As of today (November 27, 2017) the company is working on the labeling so that it meets US Customs regulations. They will be shipping us our first pallets in early December, so we hope to have the larger-sized clay pebbles sometime by mid-January 2018, if all goes as planned.
I bought this but it's very small. Okay for tiny roots orchids but I prefer the bigger chunks . Hopefully you'll carry it soon.
4 star for now due to small size.
A great inorganic medium that has impressive water retention properties. This is a very small gain medium that will be great for orchids with finer roots. For larger for orchids it will need to be mixed with a chunky medium like bark or clay spheres. I would love it if German Delight would carry the larger chunk granules too! This is a large bag and will lastart you a long time. The granules can also be mixed into potting soil for plantsthat like to be well drained but need moisture. I added some to my indoor gardenias put and it is loving it!
I recently came across this product only to learn it is not readily available almost anywhere in the US. I've been hunting for something like this for my plants for years. Please advertise this product on sites like Orchidboard, Slippertalk, RVorchid, etc. People will gladly buy this and keep buying it.
