Ingredients in German

Weizenmehl, Wasser, Eier, Kräuter (Schnittlauch, Petersilie, Kerbel), Salz, Stärke, Gewürze, Gewürzextrakte, Zitronensäure.

Enthält Ei und Weizen.

Boiled Spätzle:

Place the (defrosted) Spätzle in boiling water for approximately 1 minute until they rise to the water surface.  Remove from water and serve with your gravy or sauce of choice.

Pan Fried:

Place butter (GermanDeli.com recommends German Butter) or oil in a pan, add the Spätzle and 4-5 tablespoons of water.  Turn the Spätzle while sauteing until they turn a golden brown.

Spätzle with Vegetables:

Toss prepared Spätzle with seasonal vegetables such as: asparagus, heirloom tomatoes, squash or broccoli.

Käsespätzle (Cheese Spätzle):

The most popular version of Spätzle are Käsespätzle or "Spätzle with Cheese".  Saute onions and remove from pan.  Add Spätzle to pan with a touch of butter to taste; saute Spätzle.  Blend in your cheese(s) of choice:  Emmentaler is the European favorite; or the American classic Cheddar.  Plate and serve topped with onions.

Very Good

Usually I buy the regular Spaetzle but tried these the first time and I have to say they are absolutely delicious. I cooked them and then put Butter in a pan and fried them there for 2 more minutes. My whole Family loved them. I will order some more very soon.
