I was hesitant at first when serving this to my husband, but after the first bite and the look on his face, I knew I had a home run. We had lived in Germany for many years (with the Army), my family is German and had hoped to get something that reminded him of all the wonderful sandwiches we used to get from the local butcher shop at lunch. I love baking it in the oven and serving it to him hot on a Kaiserbrotchen. It took us right back to Germany, opening our foiled wrapped sandwiches and drinking it down with a Spezi - wonderful! The meat is tasty, I especially love the edges, so much flavor. Even though it's two pounds, it still goes quickly with us. So happy when we can smelled it baking in the oven. We both recommend Stiglmeier Leberkase - they do not disappoint.

I have been buying Leberkaese (Fleischkaese) off and on for a while now. I am from the schwaebian region in Germany and of course gebackener Leberkaese and a good schwaebischer Kartollelsalat with Bauernbrot is like you died and went to heaven. Stiegelmaiers is especially delicious. I live in Miami and let me tell you you would have to travel to New York to get one this good. Here you cannot even buy it. Keep up all your good products. I haven't had any laeberkaese for almost 20 years and when I packed it out, it smelled just like I remember it. I haven't tasted it ye, but I don't need to in order to know this is the real deal. I am so excited to eat it now and order some more. My kids are from the US and I am from Munich so they are sooo excited to try some. :)
